Nepenthes Pot 100mm

Tropical pitcher plants native to Madagascar, Southeast Asia, or Australia, Nepenthes has pitcher-like pitfall traps. The lids of the pitcher secrete nectar to attract insects, which become unable to escape from the trap because of its downward-pointing hairs and slick sides. The pitcher plant relies on this carnivory behaviour to obtain nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus to compensate for poor soil conditions.
